Adult Swimming
We often talk about the importance of Learn to Swim programs for our kids, but it is just as important that as adults we are confident in the water. Living on the Central Coast we are surrounded by water, lakes, beaches and abundance of backyard pools.
Take the opportunity this winter to improve your swimming ability before the warmer weather comes with the support and guidance of our accredited AustSwim instructors and our ASCTAA qualified and registered Squad Coaches in our heated indoor facilities.
Did you know that at Mingara we can assist you with learn to swim, stroke correction and also offer adult squad classes that can improve your fitness and endurance?
Swimming is a healthy activity that can be continued for a lifetime and it works almost the entire body - heart, lungs, and muscles - with very little joint strain. Regular swimming builds endurance, muscle strength and cardio-vascular fitness and it can also be useful in conjunction with your regular workouts.
Maybe you are a runner, training on a regular basis, and want to find an activity that keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off of your body?
Perhaps you have been doing some other form of land exercise, and now an injury prevents you from putting weight on a knee or ankle?
Maybe you wants to add some variety to your normal gym workout?
Swimming can help you.
Kicking workouts, water aerobics, pool running, or a regular swimming workout can all give you a great exercise session without the weight of your body pounding you with each move.
Try swimming a few laps after your main workout at Mingara One Fitness to help you cool-down, move blood through your muscles to help them recover, and help you relax as you glide through the water.
