All About Tina
I started at the gym when my children were small. After a year I thought it would be good to exercise my brain and decided to study to learn about what I was doing in the gym. I qualified in 1996 as a Gym Instructor. Through the years I have worked in local gyms as a Gym Instructor, Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor. And my early years in Work Injury Rehabilitation. I have seen many “fads” through the years. Different exercise equipment regimes and diets. Best thing is to find something that you love to do and benefits your body. I tend to gravitate towards exercises that help my body, and any members in my classes. We only have one body so we need to look after it!
I’m a ‘foodie’. I love cooking… and eating. The kitchen is my second favourite place to be… besides the gym. On a continuing journey to nourish myself, family and friends through educating myself about what we eat, and how it affects our bodies. Recognising that there isn’t one ‘diet’ or eating style that suits everybody. Genetics, environment (where we live, chemicals, stresses) and our mind/body state also affect our health.
When not thinking about food, I have a bit of an adventurous side. You may see me up in the air paragliding at Crackneck Lookout with my husband and friends.
