We are so lucky to live on the Central Coast surrounded by nature, gorgeous beaches, and of course great running tracks for everyone to enjoy! Here are our favourite places to run outdoors as the weather gets warmer:

  1. Tuggerah Lakes Cycleway

This path spans 12km from The Entrance to Chittaway Bay. It’s a really great place for beginners, with a beautiful view. The concrete path is located lakeside with (almost) no elevation gain. It’s a shared pathway so make sure to listen out for bikes.

It is also the running path for the upcoming RunFest – CLICK HERE to see the 3km, 5km, 10km and 21.1km race maps to give you inspo for your next run.

  1. The Coast Walking Track

A favourite among our Members, The Coast Walking Track from Forresters Beach to Bateau Bay is best suited to bushwalking but can also be great for a run. The terrain is uneven in parts so it’s best to walk the path on your first time to get used to the route. It’s about 3km one way. Be sure to stop when you reach Crackneck lookout for a great view.

  1. Bouddi National Park

A run with a gorgeous view! This scenic trail is located on the Bouddi Peninsula, near Woy Woy. It contains multiple trails including a 14km and 21km looped course. This is a popular location, so we recommend starting early to avoid the crowds.

  1. Mingara Regional Athletics Centre

A purpose-built track with great lighting and amenities! Running at the track means you can focus on your run in an environment safe from traffic. If you’re feeling inspired to run, join us at one of our track classes – we welcome everyone whether you are a first-time runner or a seasoned pro!

Access to the track is included in your Mingara One Membership. Click here for current opening hours.

Don’t forget to stay sun safe when running outdoors – apply sunscreen before every run.
